This exhibit illustrates key topics and competencies in our technology development work in the field of space structures. These include projects such as CALLISTO, ReFex and ATHEAt – all of which demonstrate the close collaboration within DLR and with international research institutions.
A range of key research areas are covered, including satellite technology, reusability of space systems, hypersonic technology, space propulsion, launch vehicle structures and technologies for re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere. These topics reflect the full breadth of our current developments in space technology, spanning the entire process from the concept phase through structural development and manufacturing to experimental testing.
