6. Hydrogen Day at Lampoldshausen

Hydrogen became an important fuel for European space exploration with the development of the Ariane 5 launch vehicle. Since then, the DLR Institute of Space Propulsion has been among the major European users, performing engine tests to acquire extensive experience in the management of liquid hydrogen in large quantities. Each year, under the patronage of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment, Climate and the Energy Sector, the Technology Transfer Centre Lampoldshausen (TTZ) organises Hydrogen Day, at which scientists and representatives of the automotive, energy, hydrogen and project management sectors come together with universities across Germany to discuss current trends and developments in the area of hydrogen.
