Postponed

9th International Symposium on Composites Manufacturing for high performance applications

3. November 2021 - 4. November 2021

Public

ISCM conference takes place virtually as a consequence of the ongoing covid-19 situation

Dear friends and prospective participants of ISCM2021,

considering the delta variant of the coronavirus currently emerging in Europe and the related uncertain development in the upcoming weeks, we have decided to transform the ISCM2021 into an exclusively digital format to ensure the safety of all participants and to improve reliability.

The virtual ISCM conference will take place from November 3rd to 4th of 2021.

We believe that virtual conferences are likely to play an increasingly important role in supporting our fellowship, expanding participation in the conference and tackling the global challenge of climate change.

In times of the Corona Pandemic, a virtual ISCM conference is an opportunity for us to be creative and to develop innovative and complementary ways for our community to interact.

We look forward to welcoming you to the virtual ISCM in November 2021.

Thank you for your support.

Kind regards

Bert Thuis and Daniel Stefaniak

ISCM has a tradition in aerospace composites manufacturing, but is open to all, who develop composite products for high performance applications, to present their achievements. Non-aerospace related high performance composites applications are therefore very welcome to be presented at ISCM. ISCM 2021 will be held on 3rd to 4th November 2021 at the Centre for Lightweight-Production-Technology, Stade of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) in Stade – Germany. ISCM is a biennial symposium organized by the German Aerospace Centre (DLR e.V.) and the Dutch National Aerospace Laboratory NLR who act as alternate hosts.

ISCM 2021 will focus on the following topics in the context of composite manufacturing:

  • Development of manufacturing techniques
  • Automated manufacturing
  • Material performance
  • Cost reduction
  • Joining technologies
  • Industrialisation
  • Novel design methods
  • Innovative tooling concepts
  • Process control
  • Quality assurance
  • Certification issues
  • Sustainability aspects
  • Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul
  • Life Cycle Assessment

The scientific committee is looking forward to receive abstracts in the addressed fields.
Scientific committee:

  • Dr. Martin Wiedemann
  • Jan Stüve
  • Henri de Vries
  • H.G.S.J. (Bert) Thuis
  • Daniel Stefaniak
