9. September 2024 - 12. September 2024
PublicThe International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) first Advanced Air Mobility Symposium (AAM 2024) takes place from 9 to 12 September 2024, in Montréal, Canada. The DLR Institute of Flight Guidance will present its research in this field here.
The international symposium will focus on concepts for AAM, electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, vertiports, automation, trust framework and airspace integration. Several dimensions to these new mobility concepts and infrastructure will be considered.
The AAM symposium will bring together key stakeholders from industry, academia, government and international organizations in advanced air mobility, as well as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), sectors to exchange research, best practices, lessons learned and respective challenges. Attention will be given to ongoing ICAO activities related to AAM, including UAS, which need to be addressed collectively in order to facilitate their integration into the global aviation system.
DLR Institute of Flight Guidance will be exhibiting together with NRC (National Research Council of Canada) and the association IFAR (International Forum for Aviation Research). It will present its research activities in the field of AAM and unmanned urban air mobility.
Both DLR and NRC are members of IFAR, the global association of aviation research organisations. IFAR currently has 26 active aeronautics research organisations spread across all inhabited continents. In total, more than 40,000 researchers work in the IFAR member organisations.
