The German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Luft- und Raumfahrt, DGLR) – with its more than 3000 members – is the only association in Germany represented in all the specialist disciplines of the aviation and aerospace industry. Through symposia and conferences, it achieves a wide exchange of information and experience with regard to the achievements and problems of this sector. The German Aerospace Congress – the 66th such event – which is taking place at the Garching research center near Munich this year, is one of the most important DGLR events at the national level.
