6. April 2016 - 7. April 2016
This event focuses on the interdisciplinary field of active, intelligent and adaptive – smart – structures and systems. The symposium addresses all relevant areas of technology, starting with the material and design of components, to the integration of features and the proof of reliability for complex systems. In addition to classic applications in active vibration, noise and structural control, the symposium will investigate numerous other applications such as structural health monitoring (SHM) or energy harvesting. The second 4SMARTS has the clear task of building networks in the field of mechatronic and adaptive electronics engineering in order to transfer innovative ideas from research into industrial applications. By doing so, it will sow the seeds of cooperation and innovation in the area of smart structures and systems.
