New, digital technologies should make the railways more efficient and reliable.
The use of these systems in safety-critical applications also requires new procedures for their verification and validation which ensure the high safety requirements of the railway sector.
The symposium Test4Rail has been bringing together representatives from industry, research and operations since 2013 to present and discuss requirements and solutions.
