16. June 2019 @ 10:00 - 17:00
PublicThe German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Bonn is opening its doors for the second time on 16 June 2019 and is happy to welcome you to take a look behind the scenes at the DLR Project Management Agency, the Space Administration and the Project Management Agency for Aeronautics Research and Technology.
The visitors will be able to walk through a simulated ‘forest’ of neurons, practice reacting to allergic shock in children in a simulator, compete on the computer for efficient transport routes, explore the world of the red kite bird of prey and learn how to get involved in the environment and nature conservation.
Spin-offs from the space industry, a virtual journey to the International Space Station (ISS) and Jupiter’s moon Europe. Welcome CIMON®, the ISS’s mobile astronaut assistant, and get an impression of the engine of Ariane 6, Europe’s most powerful launch vehicle. Furthermore, visitors can expect impressive pictures and information about the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, Copernicus and the flying observatory SOFIA.
Every passenger expects safety, reliability and quality when boarding an aircraft. We will show you how modern engine technology, advanced construction methods and, last but not least, digialisation in the cabin try to live up to these expectations.
In addition, DLR will also be presenting itself as an attractive employer.
