15. July 2024 - 19. July 2024
PublicThe 33rd International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics (RGD33) will be hosted by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and held from the 15th to the 19th of July 2024 in Göttingen, Germany.
Rarefied Gas Dynamics is a field of science primarily concerned with the study of gas flows in which processes on a molecular level are relevant.
With diverse applications spanning from astrophysics to micro-flows, it continues to raise challenging questions that require a multi-disciplinary effort by mathematicians, physicists, chemists, computational scientists and engineers.
Since its inauguration in Nice, France (1958), the biennial International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics is the recognized forum for the global academic community to present and discuss the most recent advances and emerging topics in the field.
The symposium returns to Germany for the first time in 34 years after a successful meeting in Seoul, South Korea (2022) under the challenging circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The official language of the event is English.
