DESCRIPTION:Bild: Airbus / Italdesign \nThe aviation of tomorrow is taking shape in the present. Scientists in Braunschweig have been researching new applications and solutions for the aviation sector for more than 75 years. This has prompted the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR)\, the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR)\, the Lower Saxony Research Center for Aeronautics (NFL) and the Association of German Engineers (VDI) to organise a series of lectures on the topic. \nIn fascinating talks and excursions\, pilots\, scientists and industry representatives will talk about their work and give a view into the world of aviation\, both now and in the future. \nThe events will take place at 19:00 in the foyer of the House of Science. Admission is free. \nTOPICS:\n26 November 2018: ‘Airborne inspection systems – Possible applications in aircraft maintenance’ (Peter Gust\, University of Wuppertal (BUW) and Friedrich-Wilhelm Bauer\, Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts) \n10 December 2018: ‘Development of an amphibious aircraft with a multi-engine propulsion concept comprising electric motors and μ-gas turbine’ (Prof. Dr. Robin Vanhaelst\, Ostfalia University for Applied science; Helmut Rind\, Flywhale Aircraft GmbH & Co. KG).
