DESCRIPTION:Picture: JavaLand GmbH \nJavaLand 2019 will be held in Phantasialand in Brühl\, near Cologne\, on 19–21 March 2019. All aspects of this event revolve around Java computer programming language\, featuring lectures by international top speakers\, community activities\, a host of prominent exhibitors and more. The programme even leaves space for fun on the rollercoasters afterwards. DLR’s Department of Intelligent and Distributed Systems (SC-IVS) will be exhibiting at the event for the first time and looks forward to interesting discussions at its stand. Visitors can learn more about career opportunities\, discuss aspects of software\, or simply come and introduce themselves. \nRegistration\nRegistration is compulsory to attend the event. The Congress brings together key public and private stakeholders to evaluate the best opportunities in the space sector and to get exposure to the world’s latest space programmes. \nThe Global Space Congress hosts discussions and initiatives that will have a practical and lasting impact on the overall development of the space sector – in the Middle East and globally. The Congress is an important gathering of the global space industry that has grown from the Global Space and Satellite forum\, and which is now taking place for the seventh time. More than 600 experts from the across the world will come together at the GSC\, including heads of space agencies\, executives from leading space and aerospace companies\, government officials\, top researchers and academics. \nAs in 2017\, DLR will have its own exhibition stand also at the 7th GSC edition.

DESCRIPTION:Energy storage systems must be afforded attention in order to accommodate the progress in collecting energy from fluctuating renewable energy sources. In addition to tracking currently available technologies\, it is important to continue monitoring systemic approaches and regulatory frameworks. Our Energy Storage Symposium in Stuttgart is intended to contribute to creating a platform for renewable energy storage that unites aspects of scientific and industrial relevance. \nThe Symposium is intended for representatives of government\, science and industry. It will offer all participants the opportunity to engage in lively discussions.We will hold tutorials on 19 March 2019 that provide an introduction to the issues that will be addressed at the Energy Storage Symposium in Stuttgart. \nDetails will be released shortly on the DLR Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics website.
