DESCRIPTION:Last year\, the DLR Space Administration launched the school competition ‘Earth Guardians 2.0’ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy within the framework of the horizons mission. Around 100 schools from all over Germany entered the competition to explore a habitat using Earth observation and ICARUS bird tracking data as a basis for developing a concept to protect the Earth. The closing gala and awards ceremony for the winning teams will be held at Mainau Palace\, where they will have the chance to meet the competition ambassador\, Alexander Gerst.
