SUMMARY:{:de}SUMO 2019 - Simulation integrierter urbaner Mobilität{:}{:en}SUMO 2019 - Simulating Connected Urban Mobility{:}
DESCRIPTION:Traffic simulations are of immense importance for researchers as well as practitioners in the field of transportation. SUMO has been available since 2001 and provides a wide range of traffic planning and simulation applications. SUMO consists of a suite of tools covering road network imports and enrichment\, demand generation and assignment and a state-of-the-art microscopic traffic simulation capable to simulate private and public transport modes\, as well as person-based trip chains. Being open source\, SUMO is ready to implement new behavioral models or to control the simulation remotely using various programming environments. These and other features make SUMO one of the most often used open source traffic simulations with a large and international user community. \nCall for Papers\nThe conference aims on presenting new and unique results in the field of mobility simulation and modelling using openly available tools and data. We expect a large variety of research topics and usage approaches. If you are doing a research project fitting the topics below you are kindly invited to submit an abstract. Possible areas of interest include (but are not limited to): \n• Vehicular Communication\n• Modelling Urban Mobility\n• Intermodal Transport\n• Autonomous Driving\n• Logistics Simulation\n• Mobility Modelling\n• Traffic Simulation\n• Traffic Applications\n• Traffic Management Solutions\n• Open Tools and Open Data\n• E-Mobility. \nAuthors are requested to register at Easy Chair and submit the title of the paper and an abstract of 300 words or a topic for posters in English. All accepted papers will be published in the SUMO proceedings as part of the EPiC Series. The full paper versions of papers must be submitted in LaTeX or Word and PDF format before midnight\, Friday\, 22th of February 2019. Submitters will receive feedback by Friday\, 12th of March 2019. The final papers should be between 5 and 20 pages long. \nKeynote Speaker: Peter Vortisch (KIT – Institut für Verkehrswesen IfV). \nSocial event on Monday May 13\, 2019 at 5 p.m and on Tuesday May 14\, 2019. \nContact: sumo-conference@dlr.de. \nFor participation\, please register here.
