SUMMARY:DLR_Raumfahrt_Show 2025/2026
DESCRIPTION:The DLR_Raumfahrt_Show is going on tour again! Under the motto “A journey through time into the future”\, the interactive stage programme invites schoolchildren on a fascinating excursion into the world of tomorrow. Will there be space hotels one day? Or research stations on the moon or Mars? In addition to such exciting questions about space travel\, the educational and entertaining presentation also covers other topics and projects that the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) is working on – from next-generation aircraft to transport and energy research. \nThe 90-minute show is deliberately aimed at younger pupils in years 4 to 6\, with the presenters introducing them to current research projects as well as more far-reaching visions of the future\, with the audience being involved time and again. Sometimes everyone takes part in training for the flight into space\, sometimes children help on stage with an experiment using a thermal imaging camera. Some of the experimental set-ups were developed especially for the tour by DLR’s school laboratories\, the DLR_School_Labs. Others come from the team of the well-known science show “Die Physikanten”. The programme is often spectacular – for example\, when huge rings of fog float across the hall over the heads of the audience. Other parts of the programme are more fun – for example when hula hoops or a balloon in the shape of a unicorn are used. Or when the time machine “Holly” – another new feature of the DLR_Raumfahrt_Show – secretly tells the audience what it thinks during the quiz. \nFurther information and the tour schedule can be found here. \nRegistration required!

In 2026\, Hannover Messe will feature a new site layout and a revised thematic structure. DESCRIPTION:AERO is the leading international trade fair for general aviation and offers a global platform for the entire industry with over 700 exhibitors from around 38 countries and more than 32\,000 expected visitors as well as a static display with aircraft of all classes. In addition to classic segments such as gliders\, microlights\, powered aircraft and helicopters\, the focus will also be on innovations in sustainable propulsion systems and future aviation technologies\, e.g. at the AERO Hydrogen & Battery Summit and numerous conferences and workshops. \nThe German Aerospace Centre (DLR) will once again be represented with a stand and will present current research priorities in aviation\, in particular technologies and concepts for climate-friendly flight\, including approaches to electrified and hydrogen-based propulsion systems as well as research projects on sustainable aviation solutions; there will be an opportunity to exchange ideas with DLR experts at the stand.
