DESCRIPTION:Picture: Vadim Sadovski \n  \nFifty years after Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the Moon\, a major exhibition at the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum (HNF) in Paderborn will chart the conquest of space. Running from 5 July 2019 to 19 April 2020\, the exhibition titled “Aufbruch ins All” (“Breakup into Space”) will whisk visitors away on an adventurous journey through time and space. Spread over 800 square metres\, the exhibition is set against an awe-inspiring backdrop of darkness\, planets and space vehicles. In addition to historical and technological exhibits such as robots\, propulsion systems and control modules\, models of rockets or the International Space Station (ISS) will illustrate how humankind has ventured forth into the Universe. \nVisitors will be able to take a seat in a replica of the Apollo 17 lunar module to enjoy a virtual drive across the Moon. A virtual reality tour will let them explore the ISS and conduct a docking manoeuvre lying down in a reconstructed Soyuz capsule. They will also have the chance to take a selfie as astronauts and to discover the layers of a spacesuit using an augmented reality application. Many of the interactive exhibits have been specially created and provide a unique experience of space. There will be a Lunar Lander Land playground for children\, where they will be able to weigh planets\, leave their footprint in ‘lunar dust’ and clamber through a moon landing craft. \nThis exhibition was designed by HNF in cooperation with the DLR Space Administration. Admission to the exhibition will cost €5.00\, with reduced tickets available for €3.00. A family ticket will cost €10.00 and will include access to the permanent exhibition. Guided tours will be organised for groups and there will be a series of talks catering to aerospace and astronomy enthusiasts.

It is only recently that working\, eating and sleeping in zero gravity have become a matter of routine for astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS). However\, what looks like routine today poses a serious challenge for the human body. Appropriate countermeasures\, radiation protection and life support systems must be developed before humans can use space for commercial purposes and push on in the direction of the Moon and Mars. German scientists have long claimed that they are the leaders in research under space conditions. Dr Markus Braun explains how The DLR Space Administration organises and funds these projects\, which include work on parabolic flights\, satellites and the ISS. \nThis series of talks accompanies the special exhibition ‘Departure to Universe! The Experience of Space Travel’\, which will be showcased at Heinz Nixdorf Museums Forum from 5 July 2019 to 5 January 2020. In a space covering 800 square metres\, visitors will be taken on an exciting voyage of discovery through space and time\, during which they will hear an account of the conquest of space by humans and experience it themselves via interactive stations. \n‘Departure to Universe!’ was conceived by HNF in cooperation with the DLR Space Administration.  \nAdmission to the talks is free. \n  \n

Details zu den offenen Calls\, Hinweise zur Antragstellung oder spezielle Fördermechanismen für KMU. Zudem werden Gutachter und Projektteilnehmende von ihren Erfahrungen berichten. \nAbschließend gibt es einen Ausblick auf das Nachfolgeprogramm Horizont Europa und das Weltraumprogramm der EU.

DESCRIPTION:Since March 2018\, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) has had the privilege to lead the ADVANCE Work Package. Now this Work Packages are coming to the end after 5 years of hard work. \nWe would like to share with the aviation community the achievements and results we have gathered. For this purpose we are organizing an ADVANCE dissemination event called ADVANCEd Aircraft Maintenance. \nWe would like to invite you to come and visit us at Hamburg’s ZAL on November 19 and 20. You are welcome to register for this event at no cost. Besides technical achievements we also would like to share with you our experience in working in a transnational project with 19 different partners. \nI’m looking forward to seeing you soon in Hamburg!

DESCRIPTION:Die InnoTrans ist die internationale Leitmesse für Verkehrstechnik\, die alle zwei Jahre in Berlin stattfindet. Sie ist aufgeteilt in die fünf Segmente Railway Technology\, Railway Infrastructure\, Public Transport\, Interiors und Tunnel Construction. Das Rahmenprogramm InnoTrans Convention komplementiert die Fachmesse. Alleinstellungsmerkmal ist das Gleis- und Freigelände der InnoTrans mit 3.500 laufenden Metern Schienen. SUMMARY:BMWi-Roadshow zur Exportkontrolle in Wissenschaft und Forschung
DESCRIPTION:Das DLR lädt Sie herzlich ein: \nDie globale Vernetzung von Wissenschaft und Forschung ist entscheidend für die Zukunftsfähigkeit des Wirtschaftsstandorts Deutschlands. Internationaler Austausch und Kooperationen prägen die Forschungslandschaft und den Forschungsalltag eines jeden Wissenschaftlers. \nUniversitäten und Forschungseinrichtungen verfügen dabei häufig über Technologie und Know-How mit doppeltem Verwendungszweck\, sog. Dual-Use-Güter\, die sowohl zivil als auch militärisch nutzbar sind und die zum Schutz der Sicherheitsinteressen der Bundesrepublik Deutschland außenwirtschaftsrechtlichen Beschränkungen unterliegen. Beschränkungen\, die im wissenschaftlichen Bereich etwa bei Forschungskooperationen mit ausländischen Forschungseinrichtungen\, bei der Zusammenarbeit mit Gastwissenschaftlern\, Versendung von wissenschaftlichen Geräten ins Ausland sowie beim Wissenstransfer oder Publikationen eine Rolle spielen können. \nVertreter des Bundesministeriums für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) und  des Bundesamtes für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle (BAFA) informieren Sie über die Notwendigkeit von Exportkontrollen in Wissenschaft und Forschung und geben Tipps zur Umsetzung der außenwirtschaftsrechtlichen Vorgaben in wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen. Der 1. Helmholtz Sustainability Summit konzentriert sich auf Fragen des Forschungsprozesses und beleuchtet Fragestellungen wie beispielsweise: \n\nWie betreiben wir Forschungsinfrastrukturen?\nWie planen wir möglichst nachhaltige Gebäude?\nWie können Forschungsgeräte langlebig eingesetzt oder wiederverwertet werden?\nWie muss eine nachhaltige Entwicklung der Forschungszentren in der Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft aussehen?\nWas bedeutet nachhaltiges Personalmanagement in der Spitzenforschung?\n\nVerschiedene Expertinnen und Experten aus der Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft werden mit Ihnen bei vielfältigen Interaktionsformaten das Forschen und Arbeiten mit Nachhaltigkeitsanspruch auf breiter Basis diskutieren und vorantreiben.
