Interactive virtual reality simulation for quantum computing
A virtual simulation takes visitors on a journey into the world of quantum computing. The exhibit provides an insight into the fundamental workings of this future technology and invites visitors to join in: for example, at different levels, users must arrange quantum operations in the right sequence.
Through the DLR Quantum Computing Initiative, DLR is creating a strong ecosystem that accelerates technology transfer between industry and research. DLR’s Innovation Centers in Ulm and Hamburg serve as the key hubs for this emerging technology. In addition to the quantum computers themselves, these centres consolidate critical infrastructures, expertise and resources. In the future, quantum computing will play a role in many of DLR’s core research fields: it can be used to simulate and develop new materials or to optimise processes, for example, in the mobility sector.
