DESCRIPTION:In order for the progressive expansion of variable renewable energy sources to succeed\, the development of long-term storage facilities must be given higher priority. In addition to the technologies already available\, it is equally important to be aware of systematic methodologies and prevailing conditions. By organising the 5th Stuttgart EnergieSpeicher (Energy Storage) Symposium\, DLR is looking to help create a platform to combine scientific aspects and industrially relevant viewpoints in the interests of creating energy storage systems for use in conjunction with renewable energy sources.
