DESCRIPTION:„Connectivity for the benefit of a mobile society”\nThe national conference “Satellite Communication in Germany” will take place for the eighth time from 3 – 4 September 2024. \nLeading representatives from industry\, research and public clients will discuss satellite communication as an incubator for the information society of tomorrow.\nThere will also be the opportunity to accompany the topics in the form of an exhibition and to take advantage of networking opportunities. \nWould you like to actively participate in the event with a presentation?\nWe would like to invite you to submit your short presentation on the main topics by 31 May 2024.\nEach short presentation will have 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion with conference participants.\nThe number of short presentation slots is limited. The selection will be made by the German Space Agency at DLR on the basis of your meaningful presentation title and an abstract of max. 2000 words. \nWhen submitting your abstract\, you have the opportunity to suggest up to three background questions for discussion to the moderator of your short presentation session. \nFurther information and registration for the conference can be found here

DESCRIPTION:The sixth national ‘Satellite Communication in Germany’ conference will be held on 14–15 May 2019\, once more at the Kameha Grand Hotel in Bonn. Senior representatives from industry and research will join public funding agencies. They will discuss how satellite communication is an indispensable contribution to communication networks in tomorrow’s world. \nIn addition to scientific talks\, the event will also feature overview talks and panel discussions on the following topics:\n• Satellites in the 5G mobile communications network / digitalisation\n• Terrestrial-space network\n• On-board processing for more flexible networks\n• Secure communication in government and commercial networks\n• Innovative payload technologies\n• Future satellite systems\n• Optical communications networks. \nThere will also be an opportunity to present exhibits during the event that address relevant topics\, as well as to give short talks.\nWe will again provide students and doctoral candidates with the opportunity to present their bachelor’s\, master’s or doctoral theses in the form of DIN A0 posters. All participants at the conference will be asked to rate the work presented. A prize for the best contribution will be awarded at the end of the conference.
