SUMMARY:Stuttgart Symposium on electrochemical Energy Technology (S2EET) 2025
DESCRIPTION:The decarbonisation of society will require new solutions for the convergence of power generation\, hydrogen production and storage. \nThe Stuttgart Symposium on Electrochemical Energy Technology (S2EET) focuses on cutting-edge topics in the field of electrochemical energy technology – fuel cells – water electrolysis – rechargeable batteries. These technologies are considered key to the success of the energy systems transformation. \nThe specific topics are addressed from the perspective of industry and academia\, thus providing a comprehensive view and strengthening the interaction between academia and industry. \nFocus in 2025 – Cell Innovations Leading to System Improvements\nThis year we focus on “Cell Innovations Leading to System Improvements”at the SEETS\, addressing how advancements in cell materials\, design\, and architecture can enhance the performance\, efficiency\, and sustainability of entire energy systems. \nDiscussions will cover innovations in fuel cells\, electrolyzers\, and batteries\, particularly in terms of: \n\nMaterial developments (e.g.\, advanced catalysts\,alternative materials reducing critical raw material dependency)\nCell design and architecture (e.g.\, electrode structures\, membrane optimization\, manufacturing advancements)\nSystem-level integration (e.g.\, cost reduction\, scalability\, lifetime improvements)\nSustainability challenges (e.g.\, critical material availability\, recycling strategies\, lifecycle assessments)\n\nIt would be a pleasure to welcome you at DLR Stuttgart on 25 – 26 September 2025.

SUMMARY:{:de}Das 6. Stuttgarter EnergieSpeicherSymposium{:}{:en}The Sixth Symposium on Energy Storage{:}
DESCRIPTION:Storage for energy-intensive industrial processes \nIndustrial plants account for almost one third of end-use energy consumption. If they are to be optimally adapted to an energy system with a high proportion of regenerative – and therefore fluctuating – electricity\, energy-intensive industrial processes need to be planned differently. Harmonising the fluctuating provision of regenerative energy with consumption will be a major challenge for the industrial sector. Heat and energy storage systems help companies make their processes more flexible. But storage technologies will have to be adapted and optimised to suit industrial processes.\nWe warmly invite you to join us in the discussion of aspects of systems and technologies for energy-intensive industrial processes at the Sixth Symposium on Energy Storage on Wednesday\, 22 February from 09:30 to 16:30. \nTutorials on energy storage technologies will be offered for the first time from 17:00 on Tuesday\, 21 February 2017\, before moving on to a Meet & Greet at 19:00 in which we will present our recently opened laboratory for energy storage research in the new building at the DLR site in Stuttgart!
