DESCRIPTION:The DLR Institute of Transportation Systems is hosting the 37th ICTCT conference in Berlin!\n\n\nThe International Cooperation on Theories and Concepts in Traffic safety (ICTCT) is a non-profit association that has been involved in the development and dissemination of knowledge in the field of traffic safety with a focus on vulnerable road users since 1988. It organises conferences\, courses\, and further training as well as knowledge transfer at a high international scientific level. It brings together excellent scientists from various disciplines from more than 30 countries. The Institute of Transportation Systems has been in close contact with the ICTCT since 2013 and DLR became a member in October 2024. \n\n\nThe Road Safety Expert Group has already organised the 33rd ICTCT conference\, which then took place exclusively online due to COVID.\nA high-calibre face-to-face event in the center of Berlin is planned by DLR for 2025. \n\n\nPrior to the conference\, the Traffic Safety Researcher’s Course will take place from 21-22 October 2025. \n\n\nFollowing the conference\, the members will meet on 25 October 2025 for the ICTCT General Assembly. \n\n\nFurther information can be found here \nE-Mail: ictct2025@dlr.de

DESCRIPTION:The 8th Young Researchers’ Seminar will be held from May 16 – 18\, 2017 in Berlin\, Germany and will be hosted by the German Aerospace Center (DLR).   \nThe Seminar is supported by:\nECTRI (European Conference of Transport Research Institutes) www.ectri.org\nFEHRL (Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories) www.fehrl.org\nFERSI (Forum of European Road Safety Research Institutes) www.fersi.org \nThe Young Researchers’ Seminar is organised every two years in a different European country. The common vision for the Seminar is the preparation of a new generation of transport scientists and science based professionals in the area of transport.\nThe objectives are: \n\nTo enable the networking of young transport researchers belonging to the Supporting Organizations Members\, ECTRI\, FEHRL\, FERSI and from United States’ Universities.\nTo train young researchers\, by tutorial means through a retroactive manner\, to elaborate\, prepare papers and present oral scientific communications.\n\nTherefore\, this Seminar is not only aimed at scientific excellence\, but also at presentation skills and the ability to put science into practice. \nSince 2007\, thanks to the Memorandum of Understanding between ECTRI and the Transportation Research Board from the United States\, participation to the Seminar has been opened to young researchers and tutors from the US Universities. \n\nWhat are the topics of the Seminar?\nThe indicative research domains covered during this seminar are: \n\nTransport economics\, policy and transport behaviour\nTransport sustainability and environment\nTransport safety\nIntelligent transport systems (ITS) & Traffic management\nTransport civil and road engineering
