The French Aerospace Lab, ONERA, and the German Aerospace Center, DLR, are pleased to announce the 17th Onera-DLR Aerospace Symposium, ODAS 2017.<\/p>\n

This Symposium is alternatively held in France and in Germany. Its aim is to gather PhD students and young scientists (less than 35 years old) from ONERA and DLR, in order to foster scientific and personal exchanges between both research establishments. The attendance is limited to ONERA and DLR speakers and close colleagues, in order to keep a workshop format and spirit; some outside speakers may be invited in order to provide an external point of view.<\/p>\n

ODAS 2017 will be devoted to CFD and associated experimental validation.<\/p>\n

It includes topics such as: CFD of external and internal flows, CFD of reactive and non reactive flows, wind-tunnel experiments, aerothermal experiments, combustion experiments, measurement techniques in fluids, post -processing of fluid flow data, assimilation of fluid flow data.
\nThe ODAS program will be established on the basis of submitted abstracts, selected by the Technical Committee. These abstracts of less than 500 words shall be edited according to the joint template, and illustrated by typical results.
\nProceedings of the full papers will be provided as a memory stick during the meeting.<\/p>\n

The \u201cODAS Award 2017\u201d will be delivered to the \u201cBest paper prepared and presented by a Young Scientist\u201d, considering its technical content and scientific argumentation, its clarity and originality (including innovation aspects) and the quality of its oral presentation. The eligibility criteria for this award are:
\na) maximum of 3 authors from ONERA \/ DLR (total),
\nb) additional authors from other companies \/ institutions allowed,
\nc) all ONERA and DLR authors to be less than 35 years old.<\/p>\n
