SUMMARY:International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment
DESCRIPTION:The 37th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE-37) will take place in in Tshwane (Pretoria)\, South Africa from 8 to 12 May 2017. The overarching theme is “Earth Observation for Development and Adaptation to a Changing World”. ISRSE-37 will be hosted by the South African National Space Agency (SANSA). \nISRSE is widely acknowledged to be one of the most significant gatherings of the international remote sensing community. The Symposium attracts senior staff of space agencies and international Earth observation programmes and thereby provides a global overview of advances in Earth observation and the consequential societal benefits. \nAfter hosting the event in Berlin in 2015\, DLR – the German Aerospace Center – is again taking part in the ISRSE\, with contributions to the panels and to the exhibition.

DESCRIPTION:„Auf dem Weg zur Simulation für autonome Mobilität“- so lautet das Motto der diesjährigen Verkehrssimulationskonferenz SUMO\, die vom DLR-Institut für Verkehrssystemtechnik bereits zum fünften Mal veranstaltet wird. \nSUMO ist eine freie Software für die Straßenverkehrssimulation\, die seit 2001 verfügbar ist. In der Modellierung von SUMO können sowohl einzelne Personen als auch öffentlicher Verkehr abgebildet und für die Simulation verwendet werden. SUMO enthält verschiedene Werkzeuge zur Routensuche für Fahrzeuge\, zur Visualisierung der Simulation und zur Berechnung von Schadstoffemissionen. Die Toolsuite enthält eine umfangreiche Funktionsbibliothek und erlaubt die Erweiterung durch eigene Modelle. \nZiel der Konferenz ist es\, einen wissenschaftlichen Austausch zu ermöglichen und richtet sich an alle die sich für Verkehr\, Mobilität und Simulationen interessieren.
