DESCRIPTION:The conference for Adaptive Mesh Refinement and Applications 2025 (AMR 25) will take place September 02 to 04 at the DLR in Cologne.\n\nAdaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR) is a computational technique used in numerical simulations to enhance efficiency and accuracy. By dynamically adjusting the resolution of a computational grid\, AMR focuses computational resources on areas of interest — such as regions with complex phenomena or steep gradients — while maintaining coarser resolution in less critical areas. This adaptability allows for detailed modeling of complex systems\, such as fluid dynamics\, astrophysics\, and structural analysis\, without incurring the high computational cost of a uniformly fine mesh. The result is a more effective use of computational power\, leading to faster simulations and more accurate results.\n\nAt AMR25 we welcome contributions from AMR and related fields\, including other adaptive methods.\nPossible topics include\, but are not limited to: \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDynamic and static AMR algorithms and techniques\nApplications of dynamic and static AMR\nTime adaptivity\nMesh generation and CAD\nOther adaptive methods\, such as Partition of Unity methods\, X-FEM\, p-adaptivity etc.\n\nWe are looking forward to welcome you in Cologne in September 2025. \nSincerely yours\, \nJohannes Holke\nChair of AMR2025

Oktober 2024 findet das nächste Treffen der Projektfamilie Gaia-X 4 Future Mobility statt\, zu dem das DLR-Institut für KI-Sicherheit als Koordinator der beteiligten 6 Projekte nach Köln-Porz einlädt. \nStarten werden wir am 17.10.24 mit einem Get-Together mit Zeit für Gespräche\, persönliche Kontakte und den fachlichen Austausch über Projekt- und Unternehmensgrenzen hinweg. \nAm Folgetag werden wir auf die Ergebnisse der 6 Projekte der letzten 3 Jahre zurückblicken und ihren aktuellen Status sowie ihre Verstetigungskonzepte und die zukünftige Planung von Base-X vorstellen.

SUMMARY:EPIC-ELECTRIC PROPULSION INNOVATION & COMPETITIVENESS 2022
DESCRIPTION:EPIC-ELECTRIC PROPULSION INNOVATION & COMPETITIVENESS\nWORKSHOP 2022 \nElectric propulsion is considered by European stakeholders as a strategic technology to improve European competitiveness in space. The European Commission has launched the Strategic Research Cluster (SRC) „Electric Propulsion in Space and Station Keeping“ under the Horizon 2020 program. The goal of the SRC is to enable advances in electric propulsion in Europe. The Program Support Activity (PSA) EPIC is supporting the European Commission in this effort. \nThe EPIC consortium is pleased to announce that the EPIC Workshop 2022 on SRC H2020 „Space Electric Propulsion“ activities will be held at the German Aerospace Center in Cologne. Following the workshop\, a Lecture Series with relevant presentations in the field of space electric propulsion is planned. Furthermore\, there will be the opportunity for start-ups to enter into discussion with representatives from industry and institutional bodies.\n\nThe EPIC Workshop 2022 will take place at the DLR site in Cologne-Porz\, Germany\, at the Casino from 4 April to 8 April 2022. The EPIC 2022 workshop is as a hybrid format. \nThe activities of the EPIC consortium will be presented to the EP community and stakeholders and the latest developments in EP technology in Europe will be collected and evaluated. The preliminary program will be published and will include the following contents. \nPreliminary content of the EPIC Workshop 2022 includes: \nProgress and activities of the EPIC consortium.\nIncremental Projects: Objectives\, proposed approach\, team\, progress\, and deliverables\nDisruptive Projects: Goals\, proposed approach\, team\, progress\, and final deliverables\nRoundtable and Stakeholder Interaction on Satellite Constellation\, CubeSats\, and Electric Propulsion (invited speakers).\nLecture Series featuring new developments in EP technologies\, promising thrusters\, and cross-cutting technologies (open to speakers)\nStartup Session in the fields of electric propulsion \nConsortium speakers will present Horizon 2020 Electric Propulsion SRC activities to the EP community and stakeholders and are seeking speakers to assess the latest EP technology developments in Europe.
