Public‘Towards Simulation for Autonomous Mobility’ is the theme of this year’s traffic simulation conference SUMO, organised for the fifth time by the DLR Institute of Transportation Systems.
Available since 2001, SUMO is an open-source software for road traffic simulation. SUMO is able to model individual persons and public transport for simulation purposes. SUMO contains a range of tools for vehicle navigation, visualised simulation and for the emissions calculations. The suite of tools also comprises an extensive library of features that permits the addition of custom models as well.
The conference aims to promote scientific discourse and is targeted at anyone interested in traffic, mobility and simulation.
