Girls’ Day 2026

23. April 2026 @ 8:45 - 15:30
Public | Free

On 23 April 2026, the DLR Institute for AI Safety and Security, the Institute of Engineering Thermodynamics, and the Institute of Quantum Technologies will open their doors once again for Girls’ Day – Future Day for Girls. This event provides young female scientists aged 14 and over with practical insights into scientific work at the DLR site in Ulm.

What is the role of female computer scientists and physicists at DLR in Ulm? What opportunities does DLR offer young female scientists? Our Ulm-based experts will answer all these questions and more on Girls’ Day 2026.

Participants will then be able to explore laboratories in interactive formats, experience virtual worlds and learn about projects such as the Quantum Arcade or applications of quantum machine learning on a discovery tour.

Girls’ Day 2026 highlights how practical research, technological innovation, and the promotion of young talent are linked at DLR, and brings to life the diversity of scientific activities in physics, computer science, and technology.
