DLR innovations, technologies, transfer and spin-offs

Every day, new technologies and valuable expertise are acquired at DLR in the field of applied science. Together with partners from industry – from small and medium-sized companies to start-ups and global corporations – DLR turns this potential into innovations, transfer projects and spin-offs.

In this event, Karsten Lemmer, DLR Executive Board Member for Innovation, Transfer and Research Infrastructure, will give insights into some of our current projects. The Krummendeich Wind Energy Research Farm, currently under construction, is a unique test facility that enables research on full-size hardware. Other highlights include high-temperature heat pumps as a key technology for decarbonising industrial processes and the industrialisation of power-based fuels for climate-neutral air transport. The DLR spin-off project ExoMatter rounds off the presentation. It has developed a platform that uses artificial intelligence to accelerate the selection of materials for companies.
