18. January 2019Public
On 18 January 2019, VDI 2019 Tec.Meet.Ing will take place in Cologne for the first time. In keeping with the tagline, “Building networks – shaping the future”, this annual gathering addresses current technical and social issues, promotes networking and hosts an awards ceremony for outstanding technical graduates from Rhineland’s universities.
The keynote speaker, Stephan Ulamec, Project Manager for the Rosetta mission at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), will take attendees on a journey with Rosetta’s companion, Philae. In 2014, this German spacecraft landed on comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Philae transmitted spectacular data from the comet’s surface to Earth. Dr Ulamec will also present models of the Philae and MASCOT landers from the Rosetta and Hayabusa2 mission.
