Public

Picture: Vadim Sadovski

The boundless cosmos, gigantic rockets and weightless astronauts – during Paderborn Museum Night at Heinz Nixdorf Museums Forum (HNF) everything revolves around space. Planets, stars, astronomy and space travel are the focus of the evening. Until midnight visitors will be treated to a space-themed programme with numerous hands-on activities. They will be able to put together a 1000-piece space puzzle and Lego models such as the Mars Rover Curiosity or the Saturn V rocket. In the aerotrim gyroscope, visitors aged 12 and over will be able to test their susceptibility to dizziness. Famous astronauts will be introduced by participants in this year’s North Rhine-Westphalia cultural backpack project, “Behind the Moon, my Foot!”. Admission to the museum is free all night, including the big special exhibition ‘Hello Universe! The Experience of Space Travel’ and the photo exhibition ‘One Small Step – the Moon Landing in 50 Photographs’. Refreshments will be available.

‘Hello Universe!’ was conceived by HNF in cooperation with the DLR Space Administration.
