We, the Institute of Lightweight Systems, cordially invite you to our Science Day on 26 September 2024 on the topic of “Sustainability and resource efficiency through lightweight system construction”.

This year’s Science Day is dedicated to the question of how sustainable and resource-efficient structures can be made possible through a holistic lightweight construction approach with composite materials.

In particular, we would like to discuss with you the main topics of sustainability assessment and material cycles, efficient production and sustainable moulding tools as well as holistic design methods with the support of data and software.
Between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., we will be offering you the latest presentations from research and industry, exciting demonstrators and plenty of time for discussion with other participants. Our Science Day offers numerous opportunities to meet new partners and old acquaintances and to experience a valuable exchange. Use this day to find out more about future materials, processes and utilisation scenarios and make new connections.
