‘Automatically lighter’ … that is the vision for future production. By focusing on making processes and plants more flexible, the DLR Center for LightweightProduction-Technology is seeking to address current problems in the field of automation for aeronautics and space applications.
The development work focuses on the following areas:
- Data-driven development.
- Simpler programming of equipment using the automatic generation of programs and sensor-based systems.
- Architectures and methods for rapid changing of processes and products on robot-based production platforms.
- Increasing the productivity of automated systems by orchestrating processes Integrating humans into a future production environment by means of collaborative robot systems and interactive user interfaces.
