The Paris Air Show in Le Bourget is one of the world’s leading aerospace trade fairs. It brings together industry, research, politics and the media, offering a key platform for international exchange on innovation, technology and future trends. For the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR), the show is an opportunity to present its research and technological developments to a global expert audience, to strengthen international cooperation and provide impetus for sustainable aviation and space – as well as for progress in energy, transport, security and defence.
From 16 to 22 June 2025, DLR will showcase innovative technologies and current research projects in aviation, space, energy, transport, security and defence at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget. At Hall 2C, stand C357, visitors will gain insights into pioneering developments – from sustainable flying to digital aviation and new defence concepts.
Among the highlights are the UpLift research aircraft, used to test low-emission propulsion technologies; the Muuv project, featuring a quiet hybrid-electric ultralight aircraft concept; and the ALICIA digital platform for comprehensive aircraft development. In the space section, DLR will present technologies for reusable rocket stages, satellite-based methane monitoring and high-precision quantum sensing for space missions.
Defence research will also be on display: with WingMates, DLR will present concepts for future crewed and uncrewed fighter aircraft that can operate in coordinated formations. The exhibition is also complemented by contributions on intermodal transport research, new sensor solutions for Earth observation and Power-to-Liquid technology for the production of sustainable aviation fuels.
