Hannover Messe is considered one of the world’s largest industrial trade fairs. Leading decision makers of all industry 4.0 key technologies are gathering at one place – representing Research and Development, Automation and IT, Supply, Production Technologies and Services as well as Energy and Agility. Monday, 1 April 2019 | DLR at Hannover Messe 2019 – Digital expertise for the Energy Transition

Whether it is the digital management of energy supply, thermal storage power plants as a clean route away from coal, autonomous flying multicopters that monitor the solar fields, or high-tech analysis technology for batteries of the next generation and beyond – the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) will be present at the Hannover Messe to showcase future-oriented technologies and concepts for the implementation of the Energy Transition, as well as products and services that have successfully made their way from research into practical applications in industry thanks to DLR Technology Marketing. From 1 to 5 April 2019, under the central theme ‘Taking energy further’, visitors to the DLR stand (Hall 27, Stand H70) will find out how the digitally networked and intelligent energy system of tomorrow will look.

Friday, 15 March 2019 | DLR at Hannover Messe 2019 – Digitalisation – a success factor for the Energy Transition

Digitalisation is a crucial factor in the success of the Energy Transition. The German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) will be showcasing how a digitally connected and intelligent energy system could look in the future from 1 to 5 April 2019 at the Hannover Messe (Hall 27, Stand H70). “For the further expansion of renewable energy sources, it is important not only to develop and implement new systems, but also to optimise their use and interaction within the overall system,” says Karsten Lemmer, DLR Executive Board Member for Energy and Transport. “DLR energy research is addressing these challenges in an application-oriented way, together with industry.”

In an increasingly decentralized energy market, innovative technologies are needed in order to make electric power systems more flexible, to intelligently connect sectors, and to engage new market participants. At the Integrated Energy trade fair within the scope of Hannover Messe, industry players meet solution providers and decision makers in politics and economics. Together, they discuss how to lead a successful energy transition.

More than 1.000 exhibitors including the German Aerospace Center (DLR) are showcasing almost 5.000 products at this trade show for integrated energy systems for industry, heating and mobility. On a 170 square metre stand in Hall 27, DLR´s research institutes of Combustion Technology, Engineering Thermodynamics, Solar Research, and Networked Energy Systems are presenting novel technologies for energy production and energy storage.
