In the last 20 years, thousands of innovative space companies have been founded worldwide, challenging the status quo of established companies on many levels. These new space start-ups are often financed by venture capital investors. The German Aerospace Center is working on innovative technologies that have the potential for spin-offs. Technically oriented founders, however, often only have a very vague idea of what venture capital investors look for when selecting and financing start-ups, especially at the beginning of the company development. In order to give scientific employees interested in founding a better understanding here, the lecture will take a look at the world of venture capital investors.
