ZEDU

The world’s most environmentally friendly car

With the prototype of the ‘Zero Emission Drive Unit – Generation 1’, (ZEDU-1 for short), DLR and the automotive company HWA have developed and successfully tested a car that enables almost completely emission-free travel. This makes it the world’s most environmentally friendly road vehicle. The electric car also significantly reduces emissions of particulate matter and microplastics caused by brake and tyre wear. At Hannover Messe, DLR will present its research in this field and show a model of the ZEDU-1 prototype.
