Curing Sensors

The DLR Institute of Composite Structures and Adaptive Systems has been developing an ultrasound-based cure monitoring system for fibre reinforced plastics in collaboration with the Grasse Zur Ingenieurgesellschaft. The system operates in pulse-echo mode with just one sensor and can be flexibly adapted to any tool, process or temperature. The evaluation software performs measurements and analyses in real time during the process. This enables detailed process control. The measurement data should contribute to a more efficient process while ensuring reproducible quality.
